You need to work on your reaction time and your 60ft. My best was a 15.4 with aem cai, and suspension mods, and i drive a base. My 60ft was 2.3 and rt was .530.

My problem seems to be trying to leave have of my tire tread at the line. MASSIVE wheelspin.

And by the way, keep in mind, that both of us stated that this was our first time at the track. And I have no problem fessing up to the fact that my first run sucked.

First off, reaction time does not effect your ET. you can sit there for 5 seconds and then leave and your times will be the same. Its all about your 60ft times!!! my first time to the track with injen cai and exhaust... 15.0

you gotta work on slippin the cutch more, especially with the stock michelins

I just posted almost the same topic. Last fall, I was running pure stock with 18" Axis rims and best was a 16 flat. I swapped back to stock wheels/tires Saturday AM and put an Injen CAI in the weekend before.

Reaction: .5080 (.080 on the slip) I think they run a 5 tenths tree.
60'- 2.498
1/8- 9.975
1/8 mph- 73.58
1/4- 15.26
1/4 mph- 92.5

this was the best run of 4 and was run against another type s with AEM CAI and 18" rims. nailed him off the line (caught him napping). he ran a 15.57 at 92.59 MPH.

not only that, his reaction time wasn't that bad. first time i was at a track, i was up there and realized "oh green means I should probably go" had a 2.something reaction that time hehe

R/T doesn't matter in test and tunes. only in bracket and heads up racing.

reaction times have nothing to do with your 1/4mi time. They start clocking your time when you move off the line. You can sit at the light (green) for an hour if you really wanted to and still get a good time. Slip the clutch, your 60' tells me you just spun and spun and spun.
