Should I use Lexol on the steering wheel at all, or no?
How about at least along the stitched seams to make sure it
remains nice and flexible and not cracking/tearing?

just to be safe...don't use it....
I put lexol on my dash and it's kinda greasy. And u don't want your handle to accidently slip off the wheel while ur turning fast

I use Zymol leather cleaner spray on my leather steering wheel and e-brake boot, it leaves the leather feeling new and clean, not greasy at all. Actually returns some of the original 'grip' since you cleaned off all that oil. I don't know about the Lexol as I haven't used that.
