Used car dealership sold me a car that won't pass emission?
Some one please help i know what i wrote is really long..
well it all started when my car fail emission the first time so i took it back to the dealership because in the state of Ga / Gwinnett county a seller cant sell a car that wont pass emissions even if its sold as is. so 4 days later i pick up the car, the very next day when im on the way to take it to the emission place to get the car tested guess what light popped up .... The check engine light again , so i call the dealership and they tell me just bring the car by so i do..
when i get to the dealership i ask they guy i am gonna need a loaner car this time because i have no other car to drive at the time.
so the guy tells me yes i will loan you a car. so he loan me 1997 ford thunder bird that looks like crap , but i didn't care i just needed a car to get me from point A to point B . so the next day when im on the way to my college im getting off the exit so i press the brakes and the brake pedal just sinks to the Ground not stopping the car at all so i had to get on top of a curves o i wouldn't hit the car in front of me . so i call the dealership again and tell them what happen with the car .
the guy at the dealership basically gives me a hard time with trying to find me another loaner car that is actually reliable , all he did was tell me to find another ride home . after being on the phone with him for a about 5 min we hang up and i call my mom and my mom calls him and tells him that she will let her attorney know whats the situation and have him call the dealership. after he spoke with my mom he quickly found me a ride and a loaner car with no problem at all .so the next day i get a call from the dealership in the afternoon saying that my car is ready to be picked up. so i get excited and go pick it up and return the loaner while i was there i ask him if this time will the car pass emission and the guy says you dont need to do emissions we took care of it for you so im like okay...... i thought i was suppose to do that. so any ways i drive the car back home and everything seems to be okay with the car . after being home for a hour i decide to go to my friends house literally on the way to my friends house that dam check engine light came back on.
i think they may have printed a fake invoice with parts that supposedlyy got replace and the emission paper they must of got some one to pass it for them.
what can i do these whole thing has been very stress full ??

You may also want to check the regional forums and see if someone in your area that knows what they are doing can look at it for you.

Get another mechanic to inspect your car and the work they supposedly did.

i have tried my hardest not to cuss that guy out but right now im just pissed as hell tomorrow im going to call him and tell him either i get the car fixed at a legit dealership ( acura dealerhip) or im just gonna ask for a refund ( man i hate having to go through this with a car i reallly like )

Cussing them out will do no good, and will only cause you more problems...
You can try, but I don't think there is any way you can force them to pay another shop to fix it.
How long have you had the car? It's not like returning something to a store. Some states have a cool down period, but it's only a few days. You might be able to use the lemon law... You'll have to check into it.
Light pops up again? Go get a mechanic to check your ECU to get the code, then you'll find out what's wrong with the car. Anyways, the smog thing. Yeah if it's a certified vehicle, even if they sell it "as-is" "no warranty" it should be safety checked and smog checked. I know because i work @ a honda dealership and we can't put any cars out in the lot if they're not safety and smog check yet.
trust me i had the car checked out before i bought it its in great shape all of these is going on because of a o2 censor that i guess the dealer ship does not want to pay fix it .i just dont see what crsx can do about him getting fucked...maybe make a more informed purchase next time? the stealership always wins. or you could go over there and go nuts until they fix it. but i mean come on can you really not think for yourself at all? :shakehead

i say you should just return your ride and find a new one. i'm pretty sure you can still return it. you wouldn't want a car that will keep giving you problem after another. the check engine light might be cause by a small thing but if they can't fix it, return that thing.
