Ok heres another noob question for you all.

The plastic nipple piece that is circled broke off the fitment that my vaccum hose goes to, to my SR Intake. Now I can not connect the vaccum hose to the fitment.

Can anyone tell me the name of that plastic nipple part/fitment that the red vaccum line is connected to?
And how bad is it for me to be driving around with the hose not connected?

This is not a photo of my car.

just try something with male barbs (the sort of arrow shaped things that helps hold hoses in place) that fits.

that piece is called the idle air thermal control valve, it's one piece integrated with the water outlet assembly, around 100 bucks at the dealer. now you know why people say just fix it ghetto style. another thread:

You could check a site such as www.acuraautomotiveparts.org and see if you can find a part number.

That or just check w/your local dealership.

Hey thanks man. Thats what I needed to know.
I am gonna try to tape and rig something up to fix it. If not, I will just wait untill I get ready to dish out the money for a new one.
