The best before this was a 15.02 this is a improvement and was my third time at the track I am getting more comfortable and i think i can break into the 13's . but I think I need new tires to do that cause i still have a prob with spinning when i hit vtec in 1st

If you don't mind me asking, what are you launching at and how are you shifting? This could mean the difference between 14.5 and 14.0....that and buy some new tires for the front. It doesn't even have to be really really sticky tires either. I wish I knew what Hondata felt like and had more money for mods but I'm going to be selling my car so no use...

I'm sure your car can hit at least a 14.0 with some practice. Work on your launch and don't let off the gas. ....also you could probably trap higher and achieve a better time if you take out the passenger seat.

Just some advice if you hadn't already gotten some. Good luck man...hope to see some more numbers....

well i know that I need more practice. i am dropping at like 3k and trying to not make the tires spin and that made a difference from a 15 sec to a 14.5 so that worked a little bit. I dont really like the idea right now of feathering to much on the stock clutch cause i know that it has just about had it. I know that when i am shifting that i am chirping to much in between gears and that takes time so that is slowing me down. i pretty much know what I have to work on but I am open to suggetions.
as to taking out the seat. i dont see the point in doing that. at least in my perspective. howmuch do you think that really helps alot? if it makes that much of a difference then maybe I will try but these times are on full interior with about a little less than a half of a tank. I even left in my spare and sub. do you think that makes a difference

Dude...

Trust me here...I'm not trying to criticize you...just trying to help. I was upset with myself for the longest time because I couldn't break out of 14.9...but it was because of someone else's f*ck up. You should check one of the VAFC2 posts that I did at one point in time.

Everyone drives differently but I ran your times with just an intake, but I took out my spare and front seat. Trust me, it made a difference for me. Also taking out the spare and the seat takes a whole 10 minutes...I think it needs a 14mm socket.

I think weight helps out alot on our cars because we don't have gobs of torque. I think if you took out your spare and seat you should run at least a [email protected] or so...It'll help with your trap at the very least and show you that your car has more potential.

Grab some new tires and have fun. I just got some ES100's which are not really a "drag tire" and I hook up a lot better. No more chirpping third and fourth. I wore the tires down so much when I had the Falkens that shifting third to fourth it the tires barked....Traction problems..lol

Good luck man and hope to see you post some lower times soon.
