What type of manual transmission fluid?

I losted my manual guide for my Rsx type S, and my clutch is getting stiffer and grinds due to high mileage. What type of manual transmission fluid does a Rsx type S takes? What kind should I use?

Your clutch is stiff so you want to change your tranny fluid?
Where's the connection am I misunderstanding?
the manual will most likely tell you honda mtf

but i've been using it and its starting to blow my balls with the 3rd gear pause/stop, might consider getting amsoil syncromesh fluid
amsoil has lasted me a long time, longer than oem fluid and much longer than Redline. you could also try the new ACURA MTF.
Honda MTF green label or Amsoil
Use about half a bottle of Lucas Oil automatic transmission aid, and the rest with Honda/Acura MTF for the 6speed. It will shift nice and smooth, if you wish you can opt to use syncromesh with my technique it worked that way as well with my old LS.

Unless you get get the exact list of chemicals in the Lucas automatic fluid I highly advise against doing this.

As posted before either the new Honda MTF(green label?), Amsoil, or Pennzoil/GM synchromesh.

I myself love Amsoil. Solved my 3rd gear "pause" and I have never once grinded 2nd.

I agree with you on that.

But even though this is not technically correct, it is working great in my K, and my old LS is still shifting great nearly 3 years later. So I don't for see any problems down the road.
I work at a GM dealer. The GM Synchromesh is what I need?
Will the GM version be the same, or at least work the same?

If you can get GM friction modeified synchromesh that would be your best bet. I use amsoil now and its pretty good but I'm sure the friction modified synchromesh will be fine
I think that's what it is. It's $16/quart. Sound about right?
I keep reading that Redline, Royal Purple and Amsoil are all good BRANDS...but what is the specific WEIGHT of MTF that is required for a 2005 rsx base model? 75W-90? 75W-80? Or possibly other...? I've read through multiple threads and can't seem to find it. Being a noob at this, any help is always appreciated :) Thanks.
way to bump a 6 year old thread. Just get HONDA mtf. I tried using a different brand once and my transmission was acting up, switch to honda mtf and worked perfect.
I hate how I always get to the end of a thread like this and the last person say to use honda mtf. I just changed my clutch and used Honda mtf green label and I still have issues with 3rd pause and a little bit of grinding
Honda mtf is the best hands down man. If you have issues its your tranny, other fluids cant fix that. If honda mtf is good enough for a NSX & Type R its def good enough for a RSX.
Meh, it's different for everyone. I had worst luck with Honda MTF, whereas GM Synchromesh Friction Modified and Amsoil both worked better with notchy-ness and 2nd gear grind
My rsx was shifting hard when I got it. Changed the fluid with MTF and now its 99% better. Mornings for about a minute are still a little notchy. If i had more problems I suppose I'd look to other fluids. So far so good tho
