I have a wheel wobble/thunk after I hit 15mph. It gets worse as I go up. I'm so lost I have no idea what it is. So far I've literally replaced EVERYTHING. I replaced the intermediate shaft, axle, and the whole entire wheel hub with everything on it. And I only payed for the axle, the rest I got from a friend who had them just lying around. I even swapped wheels and that didn't fix it. The wheel actually came off, but that's because the lug nuts I got with the car were garbage, so I got new ones. Where do I got from now? I'd REALLY appreciate it if someone could offer their help.
Since you're running aftermarket wheels... Are you running spacers? If so, are they hubcentric? If no spacers at all, do you at least have hubcentric rings?
I know it's not the wheels because I did a tire rotation, and that didn't fix it. I also took the wheels off and drove it on jack stands and the wobble is still there
I noticed when I turn at low speeds, there's a knock. And this is under 10mph. I don't get the knock till I get around 20mph. I also replaced a broken engine mount today. It made it a bit smoother but the knock is still there.
I never played with the camber since I got the car, could that possibly be it? Where would the camber adjustment bolt be? I'm currently running raceland coilovers, and I'm pretty sure the camber adjustment would be on top of the coil, unless you're talking about some other stock camber adjustment bolt...that's if there is one..? The alignment stays how it is, it doesn't wobble at all, but that's how the thump feels, it feels like the wheel is wobbling.
Yeah these coilovers are shit haha, and the knock/thump increases with speed, not random knocking. I will check the sway bar links. I can see the axles wobbling even when the car is jacked up running without wheels. Could it possibly be something with the differential? And thanks for offering to help
Also, I noticed that when driving around 20mph and I press in the clutch, the knock gets louder and more of a harder thump. Could this be a differential bearing? The drivers side wheel looks fine to me, no knocking sound
