Hello it has been awhile i got a 2005 acura rsx 2005(base) it is my Daily Commuter i bought it as a Salvage one of a few problems it has is that the Cruise Control does not work. I am trying to get it fixed since it would be great to have for my 91 Mile daily commute. So if i push the button on the (left of the steering wheel) the green light on that button comes on. But the (In Dash) light does not come on,Also the "SET" button on the Cruise Control Button Cluster(attached to the right of the steering wheel) seems to be broken like it just does not have the (Clicking action) when you press it. The "CANCEL" and "RESUME" Buttons on the cluster seem to be not broken because you can press them and they have the (Clicking Action). Remember the car was in 2 Accidents the 2nd was when it was SALVAGED i wonder if the airbags Deployed in either of those Accidents do you think if it did it could have broken the Cruise Control somehow???

I am just checking little things first, So what number,amp and location is the Fuse for Cruise Control???

Vehicle is a 2005 Acura RSX (Base) Auto Transmission.

You wouldn't happen know the correct term and/or part number for the Cruise Control Button Set???

(Ya know that cluster of buttons/switches that is attached to the right of the steering wheel) The SET Button/swith appears to be broken like the the SET button is stuck/Pushed all the way in the other two buttons/switches CANCEL and RESUME appear to work just fine. Maybe that busted SET button is the Cause of the problem?

I will probably have to replace the Buttons/Switches anyway for it to work correctly.
I just need to know the proper name/term and or part number for them.

I bet you could pull that switch apart and look at the internals. Might need to pull of airbag to get to it, but maybe something is jammed up or something. Also i've seen that button cluster on ebay and facebook a bunch

This came up at a good time as I just got another RSX with a quick release and I'm looking at the 3 wire cruise plug. It goes into the reel and comes out with 4. One must be the horn (orange) and the other 3 for cruise. I'm going to hard wire and relocate the buttons and not sure all the colors as they are different at both ends of the reel. Then I got four unrelated cut wires I'm not sure about. I hooked it all up and let it all dangle and we'll hope for cruise tomorrow.

check the pads for the clutch pedal.

my cruise control wasn't working but i didn't bother to fix it. until 1 afternoon, my brake lights wouldn't turn off. i found that the plastic pad for the brake light switch was gone. the pad for the clutch pedal was also missing. i cleaned up the area with alcohol and glued pennies where the pads go. brake light turned off and cruise control works.
