Hey, could someone tell me what makes H3 bulbs better for projectors than H1? So, far I've heard that H1 lights up projector lenses horribly, why is that? Also, I'm getting an HID upgrade for my halo projectors, is there a certain type of bulb(i.e. H3, H4, etc.) that produces a stronger beam than the others. Thanks.

h3 bulb is shorter = appropriate placement for the beam pattern. all in all its just better fit for a projector housing than a reflector housing like stock. sure u can put an h1 bulb in a projector, but beam pattern will look like ass and light output wont be as efficient

Wrong.

H3 is a piece of shit. Hella makes kick-ass H1 projectors. H3's are mainly used for foglights, and shitty aftermarket halo projectors.

What you really want is a nice D2S OEM retrofit.
