Will window tints peel/bubble after a few years?

I see a lot of older cars that have bubbles in their tinted windows, and it looks horrible! Does this happen even on good tint jobs?

If this will happen on the my rsx, i will not get tints.

Any tint experts out there?

I'm not tint expert but if it's a good tint job it shouldn't peel or bubble. If it does and you get it done at a shop, they will usually warranty the tint job so if it does peel or bubble, they will redo it!!

make sure you check around before tinting your
ride. some of the people who do it are not very
careful with your car when doing it and can
scratch up your interior plastic or exterior
window. they can also do a sloppy job with
bubbles popping up everywhere. make sure you ask
to see some of the vehicles they have done
and use your common sense. if the guy seems like
he knows what he's doing and seems like he'd be
careful with your stuff go to him. but like
everyone else said, don't skimp on the tint.
make sure they use a tint which will block 99%
of UV rays.

I don't know of any state which allows tinting of
the front windshield, but...

here in california tinting even the front (door)
windows are illegal technically, but unless you
are really asking for a ticket most cops won't
bother you for that if it isn't darker than 50%.

Thanks for the info,

I will check the rules here in toronto for tint regulations. I think I know a good tinit place near where I live, so I am going to ask to see some of the cars they worked on.

For guys that have tints:
Is it hard to see out of your rear windsheild in day or night if your rear windsheild is tinted?

Its not hard at all, but I have only a 25% tint.... It would be harder to see if I had a spoiler too!

OH QUESTION: For the people that have tint: how do you wash your windows? (from the inside)
