my driver's window got frozen into the track, and when i attempted to lower it the window stuck (briefly) and the mechanism inside the door that holds the window detached from the window and moved to the lowered position. When the window finally thawed and broke free, it fell and is now cocked in the track.

I can easily get inside the door and see that there a two little plastic U-shaped clips that "hold" the window, but they apparently don't do a very good job when the window is stuck.

Do i need new clips? Or a special adhesive to hold the glass into the clips?

Just an adhesive to hold it will be fine. I cant remember if this happened in my rsx or if it was in my ranger but I just jammed it full of adhesive(forget what), put the window back in, rolled the window up and left it sitting without moving it for some time.
