describe the worst weather you've experienced while riding.

well first, i don't ride when it rains. i drive my RSX instead. so, the worst weather i've experienced (it was a cloud-free night) was riding through areas of steep terrain with gusty cross-winds reaching 40-45mph and maybe up to 50mph.

a few times, i thought i was going to smack into the guard rail because of the strength of these winds. that was the craziest experience i've had on my bike with mother nature.

r u nuts? you can get struck by lightning! :ugh:
word of advice to anyone who rides when it rains: NEVER ride when it hails.

hail only comes from cumulonimbus clouds, aka thunderstorm clouds.

it was sunny...then it just started raining, I was on my way home and the hail started
lol...it was sunny when I went to work and when I got off, it was raining like crazy. Had to ride 45 minutes in the pouring rain. I could see lightning strikes on both sides of me
once rode through a downpour. My tires are for more touring then race so I had plenty of tread and it gripped well.
yesterday...on the way to the desert for canyon running. Fog, Winds, and snow on the side of the road
I had a 30 minute ride home from work at night once in 35 degree heavy sleet. That sucked.
got caught in a massive rain storm back in 1998 on my way home from the shore. along with about 6 of my buddies. it was scary shield was fogged i thought i was dead. pulled over under a overpass for about an hour.we had no choice we had to get on the road.
probably, partly cloudy 75 degree weather...

when i picked up my 600RR it rained kinda hard on the way home and i was fine on slippery stock tires. It made me learn to be smoooooooooth.

I've also got caught in a thunderstorm once. AND when i rode my 250 to its new owner's house it rained hard as hell and i was fine. That was REAL slippery but i did it.
last night, it wasnt BAD, it was about 45 degrees, not bad for riding, overcast

im with my other friend who rides too, we both rode to my buddy's house, about 20 mins from our houses

we leave around 1am, and its raining outside and the temp dropped to about 35, so it was slushy...fuckin scary shit right there
