As long as you get the arms made for the 05-06 they bolt right on. I just replaced my 02-04 with arms like that and they went on no issues.

 

Ya I know I was just seeing some people say the ones listed for the 05-06 didn't fit and was seeing if anyone has used these on their 05-06

I just ordered some for mine for 05-06 type s, haven’t checked if my new ball joints fit or not but I hope that’s not the case. I installed the the arms on the car and it lines up perfect .

 

It won't fit because those are for a base or 02 04 type s. Not sure on the type s, but those control arms won't work. If you get the smaller ball joint it will fall right out of the knuckle as the ball joints are smaller in every demension. I gave up sourcing the control arms and put in aftermarket bushings and new hardrace ball joints.

 

i purchased it off moogs website and it states its 2005 2006 types s only, i checked it out today and ball joints seem to line up well, the ball joints have a slight taper to it ,so it kinda has to be forced in a bit i think, more than half of the stud on the ball joint goes in ,

ill update if it does or doesnt work,

 

If it fits you'll be able to see some threads, I think the smaller you couldn't even begin to thread the ball joint into it.

 

i think im good then, you can def see more than half the threads on the other side when you slide the ball joint stud into the arm hole.

The part numbers you listed are only for 05-06 type s only , search on their site for the ones your looking for , I’m sure they have it .

Also I ordered mine from rock auto , great prices , cheapest I’ve seen. Just got to know what your ordering . Get your part number from Moog website and then search for it .

so update on these arms, i had the arms installed on the car for a month , finally was going to put everything back together and........

the arms do not work,
i ordered it from moog and its for a 2005-2006 acura rsx type s. exact fit to oem, thats what it said

like stated above the hole for the ball joint is too small,

i apologize to whoever had asked and i confirmed it worked by just looking at it.

i compared oem to the moog and moog is much smaller..


now i called moog corporate and they were pretty bad service. he would not accept the fact that their product is wrong. he blamed me and my ball joints were wrong. he also said that it could have gotten swaped out in shipping or in factory.

also said that according to his records , im the first ever to complain about this. lol

anyway im returning them and i found someone close by thats parting out. so i lucked out.

SO YES STAY AWAY FROM MOOG FOR YOUR LOWER ARMS!!!!

also , forgot to mention , i even tried to force my ball joints on and i snapped both of them,

so dont even try to do it lol ,

I couldn't find any and replace the bushings with energy suspension and ball joint with hard race.

 

Since we are on the topic, I just purchased the hard race ball joints for my '06 type-s.

Could anyone confirm is this the right part number for the energy suspension lca bushings for an '06 type-s? (OEM LCA) (Different websites say it does or doesn't fit so not sure)

Just an update, i purchased AC delco control arms # 45D10147 , 45D10148 from rock auto, It says its for the type S, It does not fit. the nut can only grab like 3 or 4 threads and the smooth part of the stud on the ball joint does not fit the hole. I see some JDM aluminum type r arms on ebay, Will those fit an 05 type S ?

 

Yes, the ITR front LCA will fit '05, but only if you use an ITR front sway bar. Note I also used a Superpro SPF2308K with the ITR LCA, which may have helped the ITR fitment.
