2002 RSX Type S Replacement Struts

I have a 2002 Acura RSX Type S with 95,000 miles. I’m having problems with the struts. They’ve been replaced twice in the last few years. New Acura struts are not available for my car. I see three reasonable options:

a. $230 Full New Coil-over Struts 4PCS Full Coilover Struts Shocks For 2002-2006 Acura RSX Type-S Base L Coupe 2D | eBay
b. $1,800 New Air Struts (can be lowered) AirPlus Air Struts #TH-H1011
c. $200-500 Used Struts

Used struts don’t seem to make any sense to me.
I don’t race my car. Why would I want to choose the air struts over the conventional ones? I don’t think raising and lowering my car is something I would benefit from.

(Other than front suspension issues, the car is performing flawlessly!)

Air suspension will be more comfortable. If you don’t care about performance or comfort, order an OE replacement from your local auto parts store. I would not bother with those eBay coilovers you linked.

I just bought the Tein stock/performance stuff and it is all quite nice. Fronts are about $350 for the pair, but you will need to use your springs, strut trops and bumpers from your old struts. Tein has a good reputation among the "tuner" community, and is not known to fail early, as whatever you are currently using seems to do. I would absolutely stay away from $400 eBay coilovers.

I went with MasterPro Strut and Coils from O’Reilly. The air struts were just too expensive!
(I'm sure these aren't the only parts that are going to get replaced.)
