I bought the RSX almost exactly 10 years ago. Its been an amazingly fun and reliable car!, but im getting older, and I have a longer rougher commute these days, and I couldnt take it anymore. So I picked up a low mileage 2015 Civic SI from a private seller. So far im loving it. It feels just as quick as the rsx, but alot more mature. That extra low end torque is noticeable in traffic. But the RSX was more raw. I drove quite a few 9th and 10th gen Civic si's and I decided that I wanted to stick with the K-series over the new 1.5 turbo motor. The K-Series was bulletproof in the RSX and I expect the same here. My wife drives a Focus ST, and the new 1.5T cars felt more akin to that car than any previous honda. They were great to drive, but honestly the Focus handles better, makes alot more power, and costs less if your looking for that tiny turbo, big torque character.
Im not sure what im going to do with the RSX, but its getting expensive to keep on the insurance and registration. I thought about building a turbo motor and making it a toy, but it kind of feels like a shame to mess up a fairly nice, clean carfax, adult owned, 100% stock, 136k mile 05 Type-S. However if I sell it, im sure some kid would do far worse anyways.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the clubrsx members for all the info and advice over the last 10 years with the RSX. Its been a blast!, and I hope you all guys have as good of a ownership experience as I did.
