Anyone get really sleepy/drowsy when driving their RSX on long trips?

I've noticed that whenever I take longer journeys with my RSX (say over 100miles) I tend to get really road sleepy and have a hard time staying awake. Sometimes I feel like my eyes are crossed trying to focus on traffic and the road. I have to pull into rest areas to catch a 5-10 nap just so I won't be in danger of falling asleep while driving! I've tried different driving positions, loud music, driving with window open, nothing works. Energy drinks might help but I don't like them. I know some of this is normal in everyone who drives, but with me it's consistently every time I hit the road.

Now before you all say there's something wrong with my body/head, here's the kicker: whenever I drive other cars or trucks on long trips, I don't have the same effects.

So anybody have the same issues or am I just getting old?

You're just getting old lmao. I do 300+ mile trips every month and never get tired on them. I drive 7-10 over the speed limit though so it keeps me kinda tense looking for cops.
Music halfway max
windows cracked
Even though I stay in 6th the whole way, an automatic would tire me out within an hour. No idea why.

As bad as this sounds, I text every now and then to keep myself awake. Not trying to say it's safe, or whatever, but multi-tasking like that, or giving my eyes a quick change in scenery really wakes me up. Or talking, but that tends to distract me more, because the part of my brain that's driving goes into auto-pilot and next thing you know I've either missed my exit or have driven 30 miles and not really remembering any of it.

I enjoy highway driving/long trips. I usually go down to Philly every month or so which is about 2 hours from me. I never really get tired though as the hks/rh combo is pretty damn loud haha. I also keep the sunroof cracked and radio up to cancel some of the noise but don't mind :vtec:

Turnpikes/I-95 are awesome late at night. It is the roadways around me like the Staten Island expressway or the Belt pkwy that are killer on a car that is lowered. :noes:

Club/trance music is the WORST to listen to while driving late at night. If you aren't standing and pumped up with energy at a night club that shit knocks you right out. It's just long and repetitive electronic loops that ease up your mind for you to crash. Which is why MDMA works so well with trance music.

i only start to get sleepy after 12+ hours of driving and more so if it starts to get dark after a long time driving.

guess you're not wired to drive a long time, rsx or not lol

No offense to OP but threads like this one are pointless and stupid, i been noticing useless threads like this popping up a lot lately, idk if it's people trolling or if they don't have common sense and just type what immeadiately comes to mind, what kind of a question is this? might as well have a thread for: does anyone have the need to take a big ass shit after driving the Rsx for a long period of time aftet a big meal? just sayin' tho

If a moderator didn't knock it, close it, or lock it, don't worry about it. Could have been better suited for chat threads but it's not so chill.

Personally I would drive off a cliff if I had to keep country music on. Try singing with your music, talk to yourself, play the alphabet game, if you're not an idiot and there are not tons of ppl on the road shoot a text to someone. I'll roll my windows down and stick my face in the wind of I have to hahah.
