audi A2 swap k20a

morning i was searching everywhere for info to do a K20A awd swap in a audi A3 doesnt seem it has been done got a Honda CRV 2004 accident vehicle and a A3 shell seeing nobody did it not on any media yet told me it can not be done well i am going to do it and i will build a dirt track car the tech engine is putting more HP out than the 2.0 audi engine and im keeping the awd auto box any recommendations also my shell is only front wheel drive so im building the complete rear suspension and front suspension in the audi

like any build there is actually no guidelines you make it up as you go along but hey 2 heads are better than 1 i actually got the donor car yesterday made some measurements yesterday and the wheel base is actually the same it is out by about an inch the wide is out by about an half a inch the metal is staying otherwise it is going to be an crv with the dash and wiring i build a lot of car but this is going to be the first for me

k20a.org probably has more information then here for something like that. Sounds like you're gonna need a lot of custom stuff like mounts, driveshafts, custom axles, a standalone ecu, and the wiring to go along with it. Stuff like that isn't usually done here outside of our chassis or an ep3. I doubt there's anything off the shelf available for something that "out there"

There is a guy on www.k20a.org right now that just shared his V8 swap into a EG Coupe for rear wheek drive. He maybe be able to share how he made his custom engine mounts.

The first thing you need to do is read the service manual on the K20 engine to understand the important point of the engine, the electrical aspects including the fuse boxes and engine harness aspects.

There are companies out there now that made adapter plates for the K20's clutch housing & transmission housing to bolt to a drive shaft. There is a miata company that makes parts for a RWD K20 that maybe able to offer insight.
