I looked at all previous posts and googled everything I could prior to making this post.
Here's the facts.
Replaced alternator because it went bad.
Put a part store brand alternator in
It worked for a week
Then overcharged my battery and fried it.
Returned alternator for Denso remanned
It charges and tests fine but my battery light stays on
Replaced that one with a different Denso reman
Same issue. Light stays on. Battery and alternator are good.
I can't afford to overcharge my battery again. And I'm paranoid about this light being on.
I don't want to return for another alternator and have the same issue and feel stupid.
The first store brand one appeared fine until it overcharged my battery. And the denso ones have the battery light stuck on.
Did I really get 3 bad alternators? What steps would you do next?
Solved: Replaced with Used oem Alternator from different vehicle.
No battery light and charges.
