Anyone know how to fit 2017 to 2021FK8 Civic type R seat seats into an Rsx?!?!
A guy on Facebook was selling some but the guy who sold him the Rsx had FK8 seats already installed!!
Anyone know what’s needed to modify these to fit or anyone have these here’s some pics please help!!!!

Where could I buy custom seat rail?….
Has anyone on here done this mod or know the exact answer?
I just found a good deal on these seats but need to know how I’ll get them to fit my rsx

The problem is I can’t find the guy who did them as the guy who had the fk8 seats in Rsx bought it with the car….

I’m thinking will these brackets be good enough to fit on the seats?

Gotcha, yeah. And many here have put aftermarket seats in, so that's not a problem...in general. I just don't know that anyone here has put in these seats, specifically. I searched the web trying to find any info and only found your posts here and on Reddit, lol. I wish we could track down the guy who did this previously.

This is how I did EP3 seats into a 92 EG Hatch :

cut off the mounting clips from the EG seat rails and bolt them on the chassis (floorboard)
cut off the mounting clips from the EP3 seats rails
test-fit the EP3 seats on top of the EG mounting clips
tack weld everything well, pull out the seats and finish the welds solid
*** After notes -- I felt the seats were too tall. This is because the obvious overall height of the EP3 seats rails. This is because I was using a seat from a taller chassis built for a taller interior verse chassis with shorter height interior

============================================================

Knowing what I know now, here is a better way to do this :

measure the overall height (thickness top to bottom) of both desired seats. this will show the seat height differences
if you do not have an "aftermarket pre-made seat for swapping" or "aftermarket seat rail easily modified for custom fabrication" -- doing the above mentioned route I did above is the best route
DC5 and FX8 have a similar interior height. measuring both OEM seats with original seat rail & mounting clips from a leveled floor will provide relative final seat fitness
now flip the seats over to visually see where and how the mounting clips align
cut a thick piece of cardboard or thin plywood to the shape needed and drill 4-holes to mount it to the seat rail mounting clips, then check one with the other
this mock up will tell you how off-center the seat rail mounting clips from DC5 will be if the FX8 seats with OEM seat rails
if the centerline alignment is off more than 1/8", I would not do it. In the event of a serious crash, there is a very good chance the "new welds you just did" will fail. Maybe not the weld bead, but the seat railing stock metal will crack/break-away from the weld bead.
reason for this is the thickness of the metal chosen to make those rails is poor quality. the shape gives it it's strength. When cutting into a fresh piece of metal after leaving the foundary, depending the direction of cut, the grains (just like wood) can be weakened. Then add the heat from welding a mounting clips to the seat rail, some of the strength properties typically are altered. The weld bead may stay in-tact but break free following the welded area.
