Hey guys. I have a 2005 Acura RSX Type S with an idle problem (what I believe to be an idle problem). When the A/C is turned on the car's idle bounces between 500 and 1500 RPMs. When it is at 500 it shakes. Also, sometimes (more often now and no matter is the A/C is on or off) the car will stall when I put it in neutral to coast to a stop. This has happened several times and it doesn't matter if I'm doing 60 mph or 15 mph. For instance yesterday morning I was driving to work. I was in 6th gear and put the car in neutral to coast to a stop sign. I was at 3000 RPMs and when I put it in neutral it dropped to 0 and stalled. Then the car has a hard time starting again and I will have to put the clutch in and pump the gas to get it to start again. I've done an induction service on it which made it better for a few days. I have a new throttle bottle gasket that I need to put it, but haven't done so yet. I've asked 3 different techs and they all say the car looks perfect, but clearly something is wrong here. Any help would be great.

yeah clean your IACV and TB first and see what that does. Also, I havent ever had a clutch give me problems cause I change em often, so others might give better advise here, with the extra load and a clutch that is bout gone or a worn out pressure plate or throw out bearing, would this cause this issue for him as well? I may be way out in left field though on this suggestion lol.

Check your store codes they will not turn on and engine like all the time.

I would start by starting the car and unplug the tps and see if the idl go way up, if i does then its good then go to the iacv and do the same then the map. By doing this you eleminate what sensor/ sensors are or are not working.

To me this sounds like a tps proble haveing an short in it. Would not think its the map.

Take your tb offf and see what it looks like if its all gunked up then clean it and put back together with new gaskets wit rtv a lil rtv.

let us know after you have done that.

Same happened to me last time I cleaned IAC valve. I forgot to plug tps sensor back, the car is strongly shaked and low rpm....Engine light was on, and when shifted, the car want to stop. After looked over everything, I saw the TPS sensor was unplug, so I plug that TPS sensor back. The was all fine again. Engine light is gone.
May be you want to Check TPS sensor, it could had loose connection or it is bad.
