K24a1/a2 Build - Internal Choices

The K24A1 has the best flowing head along side the K24A2 and K20A2. The K24A4 head flows just fine so you'll be alright using it but people don't usually pick an A4 head to build specifically.

I'm not 100% sure if K20A2 rockers and cams will fit right into your A4 head (they should in theory). I do know that if you tried to put a K20A2 or K24A2 head on your A4 block you WILL have piston to valve contact. Which means you'll need to swap out your rods and pistons with K24A2 rods and pistons or go aftermarket.

I'd suggest buying a full K20A2 head, K24A2 rods and pistons and calling it a day. I don't know what your final power goals are or anything but that shouldn't break the bank and will put down some solid numbers with full bolt-ons and a good tune.

I'm considering buying a complete K20A2 head and selling my K24A1 head and K20A2 cams, rockers, bars and cam gears. At the end of the day, you won't have 3 lobe VTEC with K20A2 internals in a K24A1/A4 head. It'll be a step up from the econo i-VTEC found in the K20A3 but it'll still only effectively run on two lobes and you'll be on the larger lobe all the time.

This would not be an issue for me as I don't give a $hit about gas mileage but I can't seem to verify if this modified 2 lobe vtec will be able to produce the same power results with the right tune. If anyone has info on that, please let me know!
THERE IS SO MUCH BULLSHIT IN THIS ONE POST IT HURTS ME!

The K24A2 head is BY FAR NOT ONE OF THE BEST FLOWING K heads and for christ sake, a K24A4 head flows good?:rotfl: That head should not have even been made.

The CRV K24A1 head is a good flowing head.

I need a drink.

With patience and common sense, a person could easily put together a solid built frank motor but nowadays, easier said than done.
