Is it worth fixing?? I got rear ended pretty badly on the freeway. My rear windshield shattered, the back end is pushed way in. The rear windshield frame is bent a little at the bottom. My left rear quarter panel is crushed.

Quarter panels arent available new anymore.

Oh sh*t that sucks and sorry that happened to you. Like Manhole17 said, use the insurance to claim it totaled and get as much money as you can for it.

I am willing to bet the frame is hella bent and the rear suspension will never be right again. The investment to repair that damage will end up costing a arm and a leg.

I hope you got out of your DC5 and bitch slapped whoever did that. It would have been too tempting and hard to restrain getting some old highway justice before the cops came. Pepper spray or bear spray would have been justified as well.

Sorry for your loss. At least you are not hurt and will live to fight another day.

Well that just sucks 😥, sorry this happened to ya! I agree with Them Witches and Moho (it will never be right again rear suspension-wise and to keep and part it out).

It is about time you start charging money for this. I do not see how you did it for so long for free. I guess hobbies do not feel robbing like a traditional job does.

It sounds like your girl and you have a positive healthy relationship. Many couples stand to learn and gain great things by you example. Keep up the fine work sir and please report the results to us here on the forum. Call me officially registered and wanting to join your movement.

I had a clean 2003 RSX base w/auto. Good for old guy-me. Very nice low 78,000 mile car. 21 years with absolutely no problems except 4 motor mounts in 2024. Loved that little beauty, black on black. Before that I had a 1996 Intergra GSR coupe Hot, about 170+ hp, just below Type R Clean. Stolen from my driveway. Heartbreak. Left rear bumper on the RSX in Feb, 2025. I thought no big deal. Took off bumper, Rear underbody damage. Could not do real world fix. TOTALED!. Massive heartbreak. I sympathize!

Well, if you decide to fix it, I have a rear window w/ a crappy tint job on it, a slightly damaged repairable Type-S tailgate, and a slightly damaged repairable rear bumper cover. IIRC, I also have that taillight with some minor damage. I also have new taillight gaskets, black tailgate trim and the brake light for the tailgate. I'd be glad to just get rid of these at this point. That left quarter, and if there's any unibody damage, will be the most costly thing to repair and may be the deciding factor.
