I have to replace the radiator for an '03 base RSX.

I searched the forum for recommendations on radiators or links.

Nothing really found.

========

1) - What brands do you guys suggest that are reliable AND reasonable in cost ?

2) - Please share any direct product links to any radiators you suggest on either Amazon or any other retailer .

======

If possible, would really help to know what brand other members replaced their radiator with, and the cost.

======

Just need your help on getting some direct product links on what radiator to get, that is BOTH reliable and is reasonable in price.

Thanks in advance.

Look for the assist. It is greatly appreciated.

OEM. Discounted Genuine Acura Parts | Acura OEM Parts

I have a Misimoto in the Delsol, I know they might have a bad rep but its probably 13yrs old and I've had no issues with it other then the rubber O-ring dried out and cracked once when I went to drain it. Simple $5 box of O-rings from the auto store and it was good as new.
Thanks for the reply.

The link you sent was to a dealership.

For a " Denso " radiator for $335

If you know of an aftermarket brand that is reliable AND reasonably priced, please let me know.

Your assist is appreciated.

Thanks.

Cost I think.

OP, the radiator in my daily driver Civic cracked a few months back and I replaced it with an aftermarket one that seems fine. I will try to remember to pop the hood later today and see what brand it is.

Bro, you're posting another thread about this? You're over thinking things, just get a radiator and be done with it. We can't tell you if one brand will last longer than another. Radiators have a very basic, universal design, I'm highly doubtful that you'll run into problems with any radiator you get. If you're that concerned about quality, buy a denso. If you're concerned about price, buy aftermarket. We can't be doing the research for you.

1) - Reposted in a more simple format because the other post was not getting anymore traction, so I thought it might be " dead " .

========

2) - Thank you for confirming my thoughts concerning getting an aftermarket vs dealership.

What I was trying to pin-down were any recommendations based on anyone else that has already purchased a particular brand of radiator and also had no issues with such brand.

This way I can follow their lead in hopes of getting the same results with the brand they purchased.

Did not want to blindly buy an aftermarket brand, install it and then have to rip everything out again and RE-purchase again.

Just trying to get this done without " flying blind " concerning the brand.

That's why I asked what aftermarket radiator brands other's on this forum have purchased, were happy with, and what they paid.

========

3) - Going to make a purchase next week ( by August 13th ).

Any recommendations based on anybody's personal buying experience between now and then ( IE - brands, links, pricing ) would be very helpful .

Thanks in advance.

1) Koyorad or OEM.
2) Koyo Radiator - Acura RSX Type S / Base 02-06

Do not buy Koyorad from Amazon, eBay, or other online shops. Buy only from Evasive link above and verify that you're getting the real deal. There is an Indonesian knock-off company that makes fake versions of Koyorad they are able to sell them under the same name with the same branding, so can be hard to detect. Many of the ones you see listed on Amazon or even sold on seemingly reputable parts retailers are fakes.

Alright. Sorry for the late reply.

Got the radiator replaced about 3 weeks ago.

No more overheating.

Ended up getting a KoyoRad for my automatic trans RSX ( Koyo A2412 )

Couple things I learned ( or was told ) . . .

1) - Getting the all aluminum radiators for an Auto Transmission is too cold ( if the motor is just stock and you live in areas that experience winter weather )

In other words, " less is more ".

2) - Make certain the radiator has two (2) nipples at the bottom for an Auto Trans

3) - If you need to know anything about a KoyoRad radiator, call 1-877-896-6676 in New Jersey. Very informative folks over there.

4) - KoyoRad radiators are made in Jakarta ( Indonesia ), Myanmar ( China ) those locations deal more with the USA. The Japan factory deals with Japan locations

5) - They are all privately owned factories. And they have their own tooling so the QC is pretty strict.

6) - Bought my stuff at 1-800-RADIATOR. And it came with a Limited LifeTime Warranty

=============

Hope this helps folks who want to know.

Just glad my stuff is no longer leaking and overheating.

Caio.
