In addition to the switch hitting pads, the blue pad where the clutch pedal hit the wall also cracked and fell off (see the picture below where the blue pad was still in place) - I could replace it with the same silicon pad as the other pads. The new white pad is smaller than the original blue one, but still big enough such that the pedal hits it when fully pressed.

A few people on the forum simply splice the switch wires together when pads fall off - and that does not seem like such a great idea. Spent a couple of bucks, and keep the OEM safety features intact!

 

I had the one on my clutch pedal break. Instead of waiting for a new one, I just used some J-B Weld Steelstik. It has been around a year and it’s still holding.

Is not this material too hard when it cures? This could damage the switches on the pedals over time.

 

Interesting. It's good to see new perticipents with different plans of attack. These RSX'S are getting older and finding alternative methods for some repairs is mandatory. Welcome.
