Ducky wucky's hood is functional, it brings fresh air to the airbox but not rain water. Same thing for the heat extractors it sucks hot air hot out from the headers without allowing rain water in. In the description the first two hoods are not functional, which explains why the price is lower.

So that hood is basically 1 grand ? that's pretty expensive

I don't know if I really like the look

How does it keep water out? I have been waiting for somebody to come out with a functional hood scoop, but I have wondered how they planned on keeping the rain out? Thanks.

Basically there are bafles that filter the water. Somewhat like a damn. The water flows down and air flows straight. Thewater is rerouted to the front of the hood near the lacth. This is true for the heat extractors and induction openings.

nice ride. hood is interesting. I like the center scoop, side scoops dont mesh so well with lines on car. but hey if its functional, and saves weight, kudos. I went a similar route, I bought an extreme dimensions mugen style carbon fiber hood (fully functional). the rear inlet rams air to the header while the two extractor vents in the front vent the hot air underhood, only I went with the aem cai so it sucks up cold air from the left vent of the veilside nose.the only bad thing I've noticed so far is that my engine now gets water spots. for a while it felt like i was living in seattle it rained so much. peace:thumbsup: aries
