Welcome to the forum ?

Does the noise happen at all after your first startup? If you shut it off and start it back up, does it do it again the exact same way?

When was the timing chain tensioner changed last and what mileage does it have on it?
It still makes the noise even if I start it up again. Well I’m not sure becuase I got the car a year ago. It has 175,000 miles

Unless you've got a receipt in your hands saying that the tensioner was changed out, you probably should start looking there. Do some research on symptoms of a failing tensioner on the K series and go from there.

I guess it could be something in your starter or possibly trans too. Maybe drive it up on a ramp and have someone underneath see which area of the car the noise comes from?

I've owned 3 rsx's and they have all had an occasional "grinding" noise at start up. I assume the timing chain rattles a little until oil pressure is built up.

Yours sounds a little different than mine though (and mine only does it once every couple weeks or so). Yours almost sounds like a heat shield rattling. Do you get any rattles when driving? Specifically in the 1100-1900 rpm range? The CV axle heat shield is notorious for rusting out and rattling.
