Stock-Looking Light Kit (HID)?

EDIT: I forgot to add: I have a 2004 Type S

I did a little searching and found recommendations from a few sources for full light kits, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Pardon if I missed something.

Basically, I'm not a teenager or twenty-something any more. I got old and stopped caring about style points (LOL). I don't want anything fancy/flashy looking. No hate to those that prefer it, but I'm not unhappy with the stock look of my headlights. They're just crap for light output and I want to upgrade them.

Not looking for a DIY kit - I just want to buy a whole headlight assembly with bulbs and all, and just drop it in. The issue I have with what I've found via searching is that: a) there's no clear 'this company makes the highest quality kits' and b) no one seems to make kits that are relatively close to the stock appearance. I'm not afraid to pay for quality, but I don't really like throwing money away unnecessarily for a bunch of frills or cosmetics that aren't important to me. And if I'm paying the $500-$900 for a pair of headlights, I want to like the look of what I'm getting if at all possible.

Any recommendations that meet the stock appearance criteria while still being of above average quality?

So far I've seen recommendations for:

Vision Autoworks
Diamond Light Works
Precision Workz

If these are the main players and the stock appearance is out of the question, so be it. I just wanted to ask first.

If you want stock looking the type R headlights are in that price range and are factory HID.
You're saying that a stock headlight out of a type r came HID from the factory? I might be missing something, but I show identical bulbs, etc between the type s and r when I look them up. It'd be super if I could just go buy headlight assemblies out of a type r and drop them in, but that's not what I can find. Got a link or something that shows them as HIDs?

I'm personally a big fan of Vision Autoworks and I've gotten good product from Precision Workz also. But I just want to clarify that these companies don't actually manufacture headlights. They provide retrofitting services. You can either send them your headlights to be retrofitted, or you can have them purchase OEM or OEM replica headlights for you as part of the service.

Due to the custom nature of this service the look of the finished product and the amount of "flash" that it has is completely up to you and what you ask for when you place an order. Every build is going to consist of cutting out the reflector bowls in the low beams and replacing them with projector lenses finished off with shrouds for a clean look. If you want to add LED accessories or custom painting, you can, but you don't have to.

If you're looking to maintain a fairly stock look but get a massive upgrade in lighting, I think that a basic, conservative retrofit would be a good option to consider. Maybe something like this?

Factory replica style headlights, and all they did was put projectors and simple shrouds in to the low beam.
