On a whim, I recently purchased a beaten-up '04 RSX Type-S from a dealer in Virginia in exchange for a song and had it transported to my home in southern California. I've since begun working on restoring it to functioning, CARB-legal condition to the very best of my abilities.
So far I've received the out of state title and paid for the registration, removed the spoiler, and hired a friend to replace the clutch and flywheel. He ran compression tests from cold; currently giving ~120 psi on all cylinders. I've bought a CARB-legal cold air intake, hood struts, a rear-windshield wiper delete kit, along with a few other small quality-of-life purchases for the thing.
The vehicle still has a handful of quirks that I'm looking to resolve, but the most noticeable is that its ECU came modded with Hondata KPRO v4. I've since bought a stock ECU, specifically the PRB-A07, and I'm trying to figure out how to get it to cooperate with the immobilizer unit.
Forgot to mention: I'm also looking for a 72182-S6M-A01 Switch Assy., L. Door Cylinder since the thing keeps going into panic mode when I try to open it from the driver's side.
