Hiii:giggle:

So I have a 2002 rsx base/premium. I recently bought a 6 speed Type-S Transmission for it, however I'm having some issues figuring out what else I need to do the swap.

Here's what I have so far:
•Transmission with the reverse solenoid
•Type-S Shift Box & Cables
•Stage 1 Exedy Clutch Kit
•The reverse lock out pin out for the ecu (can anyone tell me if this will or will not work? A lot of people are saying it will, however I'm not 100% sure)
•Im planning on using my base model harness... Should I look into a Type-S engine harness or would it be okay?

What I need to know is if I will need to get a type-s flywheel? And will the transmission bolt directly up? Am I missing anything or am I overthinking it lol

Any help is much appreciated! I've attached a picture of the pin out I'm looking at for reverse.

I'm no expert, but from what I've read you can do either type s or base flywheel as long as the clutch matches. IE if your Exedy kit is for a type S then you will need a type s flywheel. (Or you could hypothetically keep both your base clutch and flywheel). As for the bolt up, everything I've read suggests that it should bolt up exactly the same (to the frame, intermediate shaft, etc). Again, I don't have actual experience here, but that's what I've found through my research (in the process of an auto to manual conversion).

If you aren't running the pin on your intake manifold for the imrc, it's the same plug that the reverse lockout uses, you'd just have to make sure the pin at the ecu side is moved to the correct position. You can use your base axles with the type s trans. Clutch and flywheel have to be a complete set. Base flywheel/Base clutch. Type S flywheel/ clutch. You also need a 6 speed ecu unless you're wiring 6 speed lockout to a toggle switch separate from the ecu. Personally I'm running a type s trans in mine without the lockout. I didn't want to pay for Kpro again. You'd have to not be paying attention to put the trans in reverse at speed. It's way to the right compared to 6th.
