First off I should thank 10dsbrennan for the great and very detailed write up, on the topic. Thank you!
That is an old thread, so I hope its OK to bump the topic with a new post. I have just got into a 06 Type S, and the ball joints among a few other things are on top of the list for maintenance/upgrades due. I have already gained a good bit of information from reading around on Club RSX, which helped in looking over and knowing what to check to buy my RSX, so a general thank you to the community at large.
Are 1999 Prelude SH ball joints correct to fit 2006 RSX Type S? Is this still a good route to go for replacement of the ball joints? Have they long term, been a good choice?
Secondly... would a ball joint with a grease fitting clear the WSS ring, has anyone done that? I see MEVOTECH's MK90469 on RockAuto, and if they would fit, why not be re-greasable?
