Hello I always use this site to get info for my car! And i love it, i have an RSX 03 AUTO Base. Im looking to get a Header for my car but cant decide between so many options and brands i dont know. I dont care about price, i dont care about emmission tests because in Puerto Rico they dont care about you passing or not the test. I DO care about fitments and leaks... I heard that some people leave the cat soo there is no leaks. I would like to stay catless buy your the ones that know about this. Or is there any other thing i can do to have no leaks. I want a very good race header that wont leak or have fitment issues or have bolt hanging off while you drive. And i want to put it soo my car feels better i dont care that much about gains since i have an AUTO but if they come with gains i guess thats nice. I will do Hondata Reflash soon and It can be Type S header since im thinking on pairing it with an Invidia N1 Exhaust or custom.... please let me know your toughts!!!! 1st option rn would be PLM ....

I have a DC Sports header. Had to cut off one of the hangers on it for it to fit without removing the motor mount and jacking it up. Doesn’t rattle or anything. Sounds good with my exhaust, and adds power. Starting to get some surface rust, but it appears to be protective and not eating through it. PLM design leaves something to be desired. My buddy has an EG hatch with a PLM header and they made it the lowest part of the exhaust so it’s easy to go over a bump and rip it off. Not sure if that’s the same with them for the RSX.

please just drop the money on a good header from ASP or Hytech and support these guys. they make quality.

I just had a horrible experience with the www.rsxstore.com and their SSR (Speed Star Racing) header for $800. the slip joints are huge, the header was not complete, the collector fit ups were the worst I have ever seen in 20 years. I will not comment on the customer service regarding both companies.

I bought a KTuned 409 RSX 421 header and welded the slip joints. I am not using it now. I am repairing the SSR header like the craftsman I dedicated myself as. There is not way I can release the damaged mistreated header back into the wild before rehabbing it lol....

I say just keep it stock, because its going to be loud and still slow. You'll pick up maybe 10 hp at the top end, but you're still going to be fighting just to keep up with regular everyday traffic, but now you're going to be loud and obnoxious. K20A3 with a reflash and exhaust is still slow, doesn't matter how much you spend on the header. I know this personally so I would just focus on exterior looks since its an auto RSX

That being said, stick with a single piece header like DCRH. All multi-piece headers leak. When you're in traffic, its going to sound like you're running a weed wacker. Sounds great when you're in VTEC but people are going to think you have an exhaust leak.

Start with a race header with a stock catback exhaust. You'll be surprised at how good a stock exhaust sounds with a race header.
