FWD + handbrake -> oversteer ≠ drifting

if a car cannot maintain oversteer by its own powered wheels "ie: the donut test, can the car do em continuously?", it is not drift car. there is, however, chaining lift-off oversteering in rallying, but that's another story.

I'm not asking if the RSX could be converted to a RWD or to a AWD but has anybody heard or know about how the hydraulic ebrake/handbrake works? In the video, Ken Gushi Scion TC was converted into a RWD and then installed a hydraulic handbrake to fully lock the rear wheel for drifting. I wonder if it's possible installing it to the RSX for drifting.

wait, correct me if im wrong but why would you lock the rear wheels on a rwd car for drifting??? Doesnt make sense the car wouldnt go anywhere :dontknow:

Its just one of the ways that you can get the rear end to start sliding.

I've seen a pretty trick ebrake handle in an old Nissan. The ebrake release button was replaced by one that had two positions, one that allowed normal operation, the other allowed you to pull the handle without it locking at all.

i'm sure it could be possible given the right amount of money but nonetheless the rsx is FWD and locking the back wheels wouldn't help you drift.

irrelevant, but i saw him drift at formula D this year, one of the best things ive ever seen, anybody who hasnt gone to one yet needs to go

Its not drifting, it would be called powersliding.

If you want to drift, go to McDonald's and grap two trays. Place them under your rear wheels and go to town drifting.
