Hey so I've been slowly saving up for a motor swap and was wondering if anyone has looked into the new k20c1? For starters it's 2.0l, 306hp and 295 ft/lbs of torque. It has a compression ratio of 9.8 and comes boosted with a turbo from the factory. I know this engine is fairly new, but I want to know if it would actually fit? Having owned this car for 13 years, this may be the engine worthy of the drop. What additional specs are there? Height, weight, etc.

Engine code: k20c1 Earth Dreams

Displacement: 2.0 L; 121.8 cu in (1,996 cc)
Cylinder bore 86 mm (3.386 in)
Piston stroke 85.9 mm (3.382 in)
Valvetrain DOHC
Compression ratio 9.8:1
Combustion
Fuel system Direct fuel injection
Management ECU
Fuel type Gasoline
Cooling system Water-cooled
Output
Power output 306 hp (228 kW) @ 6500 rpm
Torque output 295 lb·ft (400 N·m) @ 2500 rpm

This is a work in progress...

Don't not even bother with that engine. It's going to be years until all the support for a swap is even possible.

It would be so much more cost effective and rewarding performance wise to just boost a current K series engine into your current car.

Hello I know this is an old thread but it’s still on the first page and I didn’t wanna create a bunch of similar threads.
With this new package how easy would it be to put it into my 2003 RSX type S? Could I keep the same transmission? And where would I order this engine? Would I have to call Honda?

Did you read the link? The HPD division sells it. The article mentions you will need the trans, clutch, flywheel, etc. It would be best if you ask them directly, they will have the exact information you need. As the member above mentioned, it would be more cost effective to turbo your current engine. The crate engine alone costs $6500, the controls package is probably another $2-$3k at minimum.

By the way, it's preferred that you bump this thread than start a new one for the same thing.

Thanks for the information.
I bought this RSX type S with a blown engine for $800. So I either need to rebuild it or swap it.
sorry I should have done more research but at least now this information is here for others
found this link and it says 9k but that’s not including transmission.

Yeah that's way too much...
I'd look for a low compression JDM K24 and build that. They can be bought pretty cheap with mileage around 40k-50k from importers, and then piece together your own turbo kit. You can build something way more powerful than the Type R engine. If you don't have the time to research and build a new engine, you can get a TSX K24 and swap that in with ease as long as you have Kpro.
