I am lost I have no clue where this part should go I got the error code and Acura tells me that the name of the part is not in "their" system. From looking at posts on here the P1163 code is the primary air/fuel sensor NOW can someone tell me where to find this part (under the hood or where ever) so I can replace it and be able to show the idiots at Acura what it looks like

I took out the fuse and tried resetting it but the maint req light is still on so I guess its a new 02 sensor for me but now does anyone have a schematic so I can see where the sensor is located to replace it? Thanks to all of you that have tirelessly tried to help me with these error codes and how to fix them :)

I just disconnected the battery neg cable and letting it sit for 15 minutes to see if that code reappears or goes away...these aren't like the cars my dad taught me to work on when I was a young girl but I am getting the hang of it thanks to all of you providing answers to my mundane questions

After disconnecting the neg terminal on the battery the check engine light went out but the maint req light is still lit but I also have a 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure code I just figured out where it was and looked at it to see the color of the sensor and a guy at transco transmissions gave me the schematic and told me to get back to him with the color so he can either sell it to me or order it for me

the maint req light doesn't really mean anything it's just there to tell you to do things like oil change and check fluids...

to reset the light put key in turn to ignition II, depress the odometer button and hold. while holding, start engine, and keep holding til the light comes off

3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure code? whats the CEL code?

3rd clutch PRESSURE switch? i thought only automatics use pressure switches... you have a base auto or type S?

edit: for some reason i thought you had a type S. that O2 sensor will work for a base but the length of the wire is different than a base O2 sensor. the base AUTO O2 primary sensor PN is 234-9006

i got the same issue in my 03 type s but im pretty sure its due to the MRRH i put in but i keep resetting it and it comes back on within a few hours. does that mean i need to replace the O2 or do i need a better non fouler (defouler) .

BTW Constant...thank you I had to finally pull that sensor off and read the part number off it for transco transmission to order that stupid 3rd clutch transmission fluid pressure sensor (boy thats a mouthful) I know where it is and how to get it back outto replace it now...color code my arse its blue but the parts people say there isn't a blue one...the new one is just as blue as the old one what the hell?????
