I am bad at describing this so beer with me please

I took my car to the mechanic last year i had some AC problems, when i got my car back ever thing seem to be fine. then i notice when i hit the lock button twice the car does not beep.

I took it back and they could not fix the problem. Took it to a friends of mine who only works on Honda cars and he could not fix it ether.

anyone have any idea as to what cause the problem or how to fix it?

thank you

one of your doors isn't locking (doors or hatch) or the hood or hatch isn't shut all the way

lock all your doors, and double check that all doors are indeed locked (including the hatch) by trying to open them. NOTE: the alarm will sound if the door is opened so be prepared

the horn isn't beeping because it's kind of a warning that something isn't "right". if a door isn't locked and you try to beep it, it won't beep - the car's letting you know something isn't locked/shut properly

EDIT: it's common for the driver or passenger door lock (actuators) to go out. if one of your doors isn't locking than it's VERY likely it's just a coincidence. you'll need to buy the door lock actuator for the door's lock that went out

All the doors are locked. I will try to manualy lock the doors when I get home and see what happens. If it's not that it may be the secound horn as stated. I do know that the alarm horn works fine

When you use the remote and press the lock button twice, the lights should flash and the security horn sounds. Do the lights flash for both presses on the lock button? If so, look closer at the security horn. If not, the problem could be the multiplex control unit or the security control unit.

The remote will lock the doors and flash the lights on the first press of the lock button. Right?

You said the alarm horn works fine. How do you know this?

check the rear hatch lock (actuator)

I was having the same issue with my horn not honking when attempting to lock the car. it turns out that the rear hatchback / trunk lock was not flipping to the lock position when attempting to lock the door. when inspecting why the trunk was not locking, i found that the trunk actuator was malfunctioning. there is a little pannel on the inside of the hatch by the lock. it easly pops off to gain access to the trunk lock mechanism. open the panel and flip the white swith to the opposite position (presumable to lock) then close the trunk and try to lock the car and see if horn beeps. trunk actuators cost a little over $100

maybe they busted the hood latch when fixing your a/c and it isn't closing properly.
