Hello everyone,

My 02 base rsx is just my daily driver. Bone stock. Have 297k miles on it. Just looking to replace the front suspension completely as I have some shot struts, bad ball joints and who else knows what (haven't fully diagnosed everything). I've driven it nearly 200K mi myself and only every replaced the front struts once so about time for everything else. Riding real rough. Just looking for a list of all the components (Struts, ball joints, control arm, etc.) I'll need so I can purchase online and have a guy install them for relatively low labor costs. I would really appreicate the help so I don't leave out a part. Hoping to keep everything under $1k. Engine & tranny still running strong (knock on wood) so hoping to squeeze another 25k out of her! Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Apologies for the misconception. I'm 100% okay with purchasing not OEM parts. I actually don't plan to at all to keep costs low. With this many miles, looking for the lowest cost components with some compromise on certain parts with better reputation. Plan on doing the ready to mount struts from Monroe or Gabriel. All aftermarket components on everything else.

It's going to be tough to keep all those things you need under 1k depending on the route you want to go.

For the 02 Base, Ball joints are hard to get but I think if you do a search there are some that you can buy that will replace directly without having to purchase the whole knuckle from OEM.

Struts - If you want OEM, your price will not be able to be kept under 1000 for all total components of your front suspension
- if you decide to go to rock auto for aftermarket, you can get aftermarket Gabriel ones full assemblies for a little over $100 each I believe + shipping.

Lower Control Arms - If your guy can just replace the bushings not too bad but if you end up buying the entire lower control arm with the bushings put in, it will be expensive (Think 200 -300 up for each arm)

Sway bar end links - These aren't going to be too bad in terms of pricing probably around 30-40 bucks each.

Inner-outer tie rods - This will run you anywhere between 200-350 altogether depending on what you get. OEM from one of the online dealers might net you the best prices vs moog aftermarket.

Sway bar bushings - this will be a cheap item and easy to replace so no need to worry much about that part.

Hello HRS713, Tico here. Go to YouTube and look for the ChrisFix video on replacing the Del Sol suspension, there he will give a list of all parts to replace when doing that job (not same car, but in the same family). You can even shoot him a question and he’ll answer you. He also explains how to install the whole thing
