I'm getting a car in 2 months and ive narrowed down my choice to:

RSX Premium

Prelude

Celica GTS

Which one should i get? Please be objective... and give me a reason

THANKS !!!!

Well first of all RSX Premium and Celica GT-S aren't really in the same class...RSX Premium and GT or Type-S and GT-S are more comparable.

Since the premium is a base RSX, I'd get them in this order from 1st to last:

Prelude>GTS>RSX I take it that you only want a automatic car which is why you would not get a RSX Type-S instead of a premium RSX? The GTS is as expensive as a Type-S if not more so depending on configuration and a late model Lude sells for a little less than a Base RSX around here.

im basing this all on speed... in my opinon both prelude and celica would be better than rsx premium as long as u get a stick shift....

I would think that if the RSX runs neck and neck with the GTS (slight advantage to RSX) and the RSX is not too much faster than a Lude, then the Celica would be about even with the Lude for speed. :dontknow:

out of all of them...da rsx is faster...da gts is slow ....da prelude has more torque but weighs like a tank...sooo da rsx is an all around better car...not to mention its sleek and sexy looks..hahahah

dude....the gts is in no way slower than the rsx, 1st of all, it puts down around 165 to the wheels stock and 2nd its lighter than the rsx. its a drivers race.

RSX premium is like a Base RSX in Canada. I think it's like this:

Base RSX - 15" steelies 160HP K20a3
Premium - 16" alloy rims, leather seats, 160HP K20a3
Type-S 16" alloy rims, leather seats, heated mirros/seats 200HP K20A2.

If the above is correct, then the Celica is hands down faster and it would not be a drivers race.

oops, sorry i thought we were talking about rsx-s vs gts, not premium vs gts.
if thats the case, then yeah, GTS is faster than premium rsx.

You need to clarigy what type of Prelude you are looking for. DO you want a 5th gen or a 4th gen? If you want a 5th gen do you want a Base model or the SH model. I used to own a Base Prelude before my Type-S. I have also driven alot of Base RSXs. IMO the base Prelude is much better than the base RSX. Only thing about the Prelude is that parts are harder to come by and there is not such a large community. If you want to know as much as you can about Preludes pay the $5 (highly recommended) and get onto http://www.preludeonline.com

GTS-22, Celica's don't romp on RSX's all day, Drivers race. FireDC5, who cares what he says about the RSX, you're comfortable with your car aren't you....You could always make fun of his feminine car, jkin. Pick up the Celica by the way, Way better then a Base RSX. I own a type S, but i've hard Celica's have better handling then our cars, even though they are really small.

I wanna clear something up.

It's NOT the base RSX i'm looking for, it's the premium, which is like the type s with the exception of the engine.

btw wuts the difference between prelude sh and base?

I'd go with the Prelude, hands down. If you had a type-s in the options, it'd be a much harder decision. For me it was a tough choice between a prelude or the RSX-S after my lude was totalled.

The prelude has the best looks and handling, IMO. Beautiful and refined car. The bad side is that it's heavy and doesn't respond to mods very well. But a JRSC would cure that problem.

I miss my 5th gen very much, and I often wish I'd gone with another Lude instead of the S.

I'm kinda biased toward the prelude, but I had mine for over three years and it was a great car. Hope this helps you in your decision.
