I'm lookin at maybe gettin a TSX, but i was wonderin what basic mods were available. I was also curios about the power gains from the reflash, how does it compare to the RSX? Thanks

basic mods are CAI, header, hondata, exhaust, free flow cat, etc.

the reflash i think gives around 28hp and 25 torque

i'm thinking aboutt trading in the rsx and getting a tsx, want to get away from all the little civcs trying to race all the time. i still want to mod tho, just start over.

it doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of support under the hood, am i wrong? i've seen some supercharged tsx's. what kind of numbers are they putting down? if i get one i'm going to lower it and go straight to boost. and reflash also of course.

also are there any other tsx websites other than tsxclub.com?

acurazine.com is another one. im on there and tsxclub.

acurazine is a lot more active

as far as the mods, supercharger and reflash like you said are the 2 biggest. there are no turbo kits out because of engine management issues

i traded in my 05 rsx type s with a CAI for an 07 tsx manual w/ navi.

inside of the tsx... hands down 20x better than the rsx (especially the if you get the navi)... thats why it was 4 grand more than the rsx.

engine... nice, but possibly will feel underpowered coming from a lighter rsx. the power/weight ratio isn't as good so you feel like you are treading water inbetween 2000-4000 rpm's.

the supercharger is putting out about 50hp gains and a MUCH better mid rpm torque increase but is also 4 grand and needs hondatas programs to reflash the engine... which brings me to my next point....

the hondata reflash alone is about 20hp depending on what kind of other mods you have (headers, CAI, cat back)

hondata still hasnt made a reflash for 07 or 08's and we are all waiting and have been for a while now... they wont tell us if they are working on it or not so its a big craps shoot.

the hondata reflash alone is about 20hp depending on what kind of other mods you have (headers, CAI, cat back)

on the other hand it handles like a dream stock and with a $125 dollar strut bar or even better the more helpful rear sway bar on this thing will make it corner like its on rails... better than the rsx.

hope some of that helps.

alright, well i drove one yesterday. I have to say they're beautiful cars, inside and out. The power was also lacking a little, but with those few mods i think it has plenty of potential. What i liked about it was how smooth it was, felt much better than the rsx. Now to decide between that and a G35...

I would have to agree that the tsx interior owns a rsx. My dad just bought an 08 Tl and the the sound system in the TSX is better than even the TL. The TSX does feel underpowered compared to an RSX, just too little power pushing too much weight. I am thinking about a TSX as well and will deff buy a 6 speed if I do, the 5 speed auto just is not enough. But if you want a cheaper dependable luxo car that is reliable and has decent power, look no further than a TSX.

i am on both sites.. azine and tsxclub... i personally like tsxclub alot better... nicer and not so crazy... i dont understand why one cannot post links on azine to other forums... people do that here whenever...

I have a 2005 TSX 6mt with CAI/CATBACK EXHAUST/Hondata Reflash

I believe that adds up to at least +25hp at the crank,
torque is greatly improved, dropped VTEC engage point to 5k instead of 6k, and fuel cuts at 7600 instead of 7300,

now that's a much much wider band of high cam profile, and if the revs are high enough for each shift, ALWAYS IN VTEC.

definitely makes the TSX into a Quick Car, to say the least, not to the point of Fast and furious, but enough to take on IS300/IS250's no problem.
I've also kept up with a RSX-S from 40-90mph (he had AT LEAST intake and exhaust, heard intake, saw exhaust)
I tried it with the rsx-s from a dig too...but I don't know how to launch that well, and the torque wasn't enough to push my heavy car faster than the little rsx

but I've literally KILLED IS300's before, their V6, especially mated with the 5-speed transmissions they offer, has NOTHING on the reflashed K24

anyway, if I really wanted to race, I would've gotten a EVO, but the TSX is something you can enjoy modding while you're young, and still retain the style and everyday friendliness even after marriage...

love my car!

the TSX is just a great value all around entry luxury sedan.

it looks great and drives great especially in the twistys or on/off ramps.

get a RSB and suspension and your set.

as far as TSXclub it is a great place to learn alot and not get bashed for asking questions.
