AMSOIL high performance full synthetic.
AMSOIL Ea oil filter, Napa gold oil filter, OEM Honda oil filter.

WIX is just a bad filter don't use it even though it has the great grip on one end.

"Made in Germany" Castrol 0W-30 (not the Made in the USA version).
For details, see: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=718643

Snapshot:
â– GC is a TRUE synthetic. Made from PAO/Esters, not Group III.

â– The other Castrol Syntecs are not true synthetics.
Other examples of true synthetic oils are Mobil1, Amsoil, Redline, and Royal Purple to name a few!

How is WIX a bad filter? From my understanding, very few filters outflow it or are built using the same quality of filtering materials as the WIX, other than the Amsoil.

This bitch is on crack.

WIX filters are one of the best filters you can get on the market (in terms of how small of microns of particulates it can filter out, don't remember numbers but it's advertised on their website like Amsoil).

This bitch is on crack because he recommended NAPA gold when NAPA gold = WIX.

Any of those with a Purolator Pure One filter.
Any of those with a Purolator Pure One filter.
it's a bosch oil filter. :dontknow: i dunno if purolator supplies to bosch its filters. all i know is that bosch oil filters has one of the most paper filter area compared to many other oil filters. http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilters/reference.html#bosch

anyhow, i already put about 800 high way miles with this composite motor oil. engine seems fine, and it's running cooler than my valvoline synthetic that had about 6000 miles at the time i did the oil change. my gas mileage hasn't drop, so that means combustion is working at least. the oil level has stayed stable. it's funny though because the oil was amber color when it went in but it now looks yellow with a very small hint of a green shade from checking it.

edit: after rechecking that thread link, yah, the bosch filter is supplied by purolator.

What do you guys think about this Q Horsepower, 2nd to the left in this picture?
you really can't go wrong with any of today's synthetic motor oils offered on the market. as long as you buy the proper winter rating and viscosity suited to your requirements, then you are fine with whichever oil you use. everyone's going to have different motor oil preferences and give you different recommendations, so there isn't a straight answer to your question. it really depends what you need out of your oil from the mods you on your car, your driving habits, and local weather.

Royal Purple oil
OEM filter
royal purple burns extremely quick after there about 1.5k on it.

i switched to m1 extended performance and it ran great for 4k between changes. i recently changed to motul just b/c i can get it for less and im happy with it as well. filter i use m1

as a side note, i strongly recomend using nothing but 5w30. there are many on here that swear by 0w30 or 10w30 (which i used to run) but what i found out is that honda has the motor so fine tuned as far as oil pressure and vtec go. when i ran 10w30 after a couple k, vtec would stop engaging, and it wasnt b/c the oil was low, it was b/c the pressure was off.

my tech told me to go back to 5w30 since it is what honda says to use and i havent looked back.
