Answer, look at a k20a3 out of an ep3. Get the rbc if you're going turbo instead, cheaper than skunk2 and it's oem.

 

Still didn't say yes or no to type s manifold to the a3 motor, and yes or no to oem TB from base bolting onto type s manifold. Going for the cheapest option for intake manifold.

 

02-05 civic si ep3 has a k20a3, it uses the same intake manifold and throttle body as a type s, that's why I said look at the k20a3 out of an ep3. Throttle body will bolt up.

it will bolt up but you won't benefit from the smaller diameter

 

How much bigger is the type s TB than the base? With boost here soon, I'm only looking to get between 200-300 hp. Will the type s be that big of a difference with the kind of HP bracket I'm trying to ride in?

 

probably just 2-4mm. the type s is 62mm but i'm not sure if the base is 58 or 60mm. if you switch to a type s you have to repin two wires for it to read probably. Can't remember if it's the tps or something else. Judging by all the turbo builds online, I think you'll be good.

 

I'd just go with a 340lph from either aem or deatchwerks. They're relatively cheap and should more than support your goal. I'm running a kemso 340 in my turbo del sol. Had it a couple years and hasn't crapped out yet.
