Hey guys I just had a quick question, I recently bought some cosmis xt206r 17x9 +5 offset and I bought 245/45/17 tires and they are way to big , idk what size I should get for a nice flush fitment with little to no poke , I’ve heard 225/45 , or even 215/45 , and recommendations or any help ? Thanks.

Dude, you really should have done a lot more research on wheel sizing and offsets before you spent money. The tire size is actually pretty okay for the 9" width. I run a 245/35/18 on my summer wheels (18x8 Enkei Raijins) and the fitment is flush. Your problem is the offset. Hardly anyone runs a +5 offset wheel on an RSX. THAT is what's causing your issue. My offset is +40. Even if you go to a 215 tire, your wheels are still going to be sticking out way too far.

Where did you buy from? I got mine from Fitment Industries and they were very helpful in determining what would fit correctly. They also have this calculator that you can fuck around with: Wheel Fitment Calculator | Find Your Fitment | Fitment Industries

I'm honestly not sure what you can do to rectify this aside from selling the wheels and buying some new ones with a more appropriate offset. Good luck.

Did you see my response? The offset is what's wrong here. Tires won't fix that. If you want a "meaty" look, get a wider tire, but it's going to stick out even further than it currently does due to the super low offset.

As for the road feel, the thinner the tire, the more you feel. If you want more cushion, go back up to a 45 from the 40. 45 is the stock size.
