Your brakes don't require C-clamps, unless you are thinking of another part and just calling it the wrong thing.

 

This, no clamps needed to do your pads.

don't know how yall doing this without a c-clamp, i needed one to compress the piston back into the caliper to be able to slide it over new thick pads.

 

agree with above, I just use a 6" one. They are cheap at Orielly's or where ever.

Get the cheap caliper compressor at auto zone. Was 10 bucks, and is way easier then a c clamp.

 

Ah, ok. I thought you wanted clamps to be part of the brake replacement parts. You can use those, a caliper compressor, or you can place an old brake pad in there and use a screwdriver and rubber mallet to gently, and I mean GENTLY, tap the piston back (in case you don't get a clamp in time).

 

If replacing the pads, and rotors, I just jam a large screwdriver/small prybar in the window on the caliper, and force everything back.

Make sure the reservoir cap is off, and it's much easier with the caliper completely attached to the bracket.

 

Yea autozone has free loan a tool.. its how i got mine done. Always push the piston in slowly.

 

I use a 3 inch C clamp and the old pad to press the piston back in..Easiest and quickest way and the clamp costs like five bucks.
