It only needs to be located there if the OEM steel intake manifold gasket has been replaced with a plastic or phenolic one. If that hasn't happened, you are fine where you are.

the ground you are referring to is a ground for the injectors. unless you have k-pro or a plastic gasket there is no need to ground on the valve cover.

Then you do need to relocate it, since the plastic gasket reduces the continuity of the OEM grounding point. Put yours on the valve cover.

im kinda confused becos mine is a base with plastic IM and i swapped a prc.
last time the ground was on the valve cover because the base IM is plastic.
so when i swapped a prc the i suppose the ws put the ground on the IM itself since its metal?

but since i have a plastic gasket the ground is basically non-existant? whats the negative effect here?

I have no idea, then. I thought we were talking about an A2 motor. In any case, if a ground eyelet exists, it need to go to the valve cover stud. Good luck.

wat would happen if u left the ground on the manifold and not on the valve cover? the bold that makes ground snaped so i cant ground it on the valve cover until i get a new one. o and i do have the hondata img

And your ECU will probably throw you into limp mode at random times, and it could damage the ECU or maybe other systems if the ground smacks something it shouldn't.

just to be clear, i have a base k20a3, the ground is identical to the type s, i relocated it when i got kpro. i no longer have kpro and left it on the better ground point, the valve cover. op is just a retard, either because he cant find his ground or because he has a hacked fuel harness.
