So i just purchased a K24a1 block and intend on buying a bare K20a2 head that i will mate to my current k20a3 transmission. I have been looking for this swap and i have found a lot of different equipment needed for the swap, so im trying to figure out exactly what is need to complete the swap, yes i am a noob. can i use a k24a4/k20a2 swap as an example?? since they have the same characteristics, i have seen a lot about what swaps over but a list is needed. i have also looked at the k20a.org k24 swap thread list but all help is appreciated. lmk what is right and wrong

well since its bare, im trying to get it to be like a stock head a2 head, but i do want strong parts, im not swapping out the pistons yet, but i prob will later. i want a setup thats close to stock but has the strength to take tsx pistons and revvs

word thats pretty awesome im still learning the k series motor, but i def want to do the a2 head right the first time, because i do plan on changing pistons down the road once i get the swap running, but ill keep looking around

also im trying to learn how all the stuff is put together, not a extreme head building procedure, just what is needed part wise to build a head from bare

Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the pieces for the swap are coming together, also due to some recent occurrences, i may be swapping on a K24A2 head onto a K24A1 block

Any ideas on the numbers these make, i havent seen much on them

Shouts out to:
Stephen - Honestly wouldn't be possible without him
Bartley - Cool dude. Golden Egg will be back soon
Lamont - Wouldn't have a motor with out him

cams will give you more always but the a1 block isnt meant to go past 7.5RPM consistently, the easiest way is bolt a compressor onto it. and call it a day.
word i might do that later, but in your own opinion would you go with a 06+ tsx head or a z3 head?? ive seen alot about them but opinions are all over the place:dontknow:

update!!!!, got the tsx head, i will be using the rbb intake manifold, ive been hearing that the rbc is good, but its a question of if youre revving the engine or not??:dontknow: ive seen all types of information on this but idk

Sensors for the swap!!!!

question!!!!

i was wondering wat sensors i need to use in the swap, i have the tsx cam sensors, the crank sensor from the a1 block, but what knock sensor do i use?? ep3 sensors??:dontknow:
also if i am missing any sensors please add them in:laughing:

just use the TSX sensors. im pretty sure they are all interchangeable, they just talk to the ECU i reused my EP# stuff for 2 different k24 engines.
Thanks bro, appreciate all the insight, there will be more questions shortly

wow so if you ended up getting the tsx head, you may as well have just got an entie tsx longblock and not fiddled with it at all. would have been better imo.

also, the previous mentioned crv engine mount...i think he meant to say crv bracket...not mount. i believe you keep your mount but you gotta change the bracket..the part that connects to the motor (not the engine bay) on the passenger side.
I wish i had a full motor, but im got the head from a friend who hydrolocked is K20r and he decided to use the type r head instead of the tsx one, so i jumped on it lol
