Im having the same problem
i bought a knock sensor from oreillys twice but still have the p0325 knock sensor code
they are telling me i need tpo check the continuity in the wires to see if the knock sensor plug went bad......
Its just a bitch to get to......
Anyone ever have this problem?

I'm still trying to figure it out. I had no check engine until I replaced it.

all k20 knock sensors should be the same. you simply cannot trust an off-brand knock sensor. get a new sensor that is OEM and you will be problem free. if youre on kpro, just remove the knock sensor values.

No Kpro yet, hopefully in the future. I've never had an issue with aftermarket sensors with anything else. This is the first time something like this happens.

Just got an 04 base. had it 2 days and the CEL came on for the knock sensor. went to the local picknpull and got 2 knock sensors from 2 02' RSX and 1 from an 07' honda 4 cyl (same part #), paid $5.99 for it. put the one from the 07' in yesterday. drove around a bit. fingers crossed, it works, probably jinxed myself tho. been reading up on the issue, agree that the cheaper ones are hit and miss at best. good luck

Yeah.....I'm considering going to a junkyard to look for an OEM one. These cars aren't as common as they used to be.

Guys don’t buy shitty parts go to the dealer for sensors they are not much more expensive, and guaranteed won’t have to replace it twice. wned:

I agree xDC5, ppl seem to hold onto these fun lil cars, not many for sale that ive seen. I used the O'really site to look up the knock sensor then used the drop down menu to find what years/models the same sensor is used for. turns out quite a few. there were only 2 RSX cars at the picknpull but maybe 18-20 various honda cars in all models and trim. its also a good place to practice takin stuff apart cuz you don't have to be nice lol. good luck

 

I always buy OEM Parts. But I was in a bind and needed the knock sensor on a Sunday when Acura was closed. I purchased the AutoZone knock sensor and it has been rock solid for a few months now...knock on wood!

 

You guys may already know this but you need to use a torque wrench to tighten the knock sensor. It is sensitive to how tight it is, too tight and it'll pick up valvetrain noise as a knock, too lose and it wont pick up any knock

So just to update everyone on this issue, I ended up caving and buying an OEM sensor for the car. Would you believe that it actually fixed the issue and it stopped throwing the code lol. Sounds dumb, but it worked for me, I guess aftermarket ones aren't manufactured to spec.

I found a couple on honda cars at the JY, one off an 07 and another off an 05. threw the one off the 07 on my car and no more light, that was a while back. I just snugged it down.
