i have checked almost everything from the throttle body valve to the cables everything looks fine. There are two throttle return springs that i see, one(bigger one) connected to the cruise control and the second (smaller one) for the throttle . the cruise control spring seems to work fine, it moves back and forth in a spiral . the throttle spring however doesnt, its like it broke off or unhooked from the throttle valve, it doesnt move in a spiral or at all, is that normal???
ithas only gotten stuck when im at WOT in 3 gear or higher(high load), i can still actually get the throttle unstuck by stomping on the gas pedal for a couple seconds> Also, when i always go full throttle (even if it doesnt get stuck) sometimes it idles a little high( almost 2000 rpms) and then after cruising for a bit longer it returns to normal(800rpms) . Can anyone help me?thank you

if the throttle spring seems broken maybe you can swap the cable locations and see if the helps(throttle cable onto the cruise side and vise versa). also, you can try disconnecting the cable at the pedal and move the pedal around to see if you feel any sticking.

Well I work for the dealer as well. I'm a tech. Just tell them ur symptoms and tell them that's ur NOT ABUSING or RACING ur car. Ull be fine. Just say for instance getting onto the freeway. we had a 99 teg come in a long time ago and it had a short RAM air intake and wheel driving the throttle became stuck wide open. Unwashed ablebto duplicate it and it was scarry lol i popped off the intake and a weird piece of fome was jammed into the throttle body.

Check the intake where it slides into the coupler on the throttle body if the intake is pushed in too far it will catch the butterfly maybe take your intake off and space it out a little or take the intake off and coupler off for a couple mins drive up and down the street and see if it still does it don't drive too much without ur filter on

Internet magic isn't going to fix this for you from afar. If you can't figure it from the suggestions here and playing around with it, then pay someone with experience to play around with it in person. At least they will actually be able to see and hear what it is doing first hand. You mentioned the dealer already; they should know what they are doing and should be able to see if something is out of place, broken, etc.

Seriously, we are just taking shots in the dark here. If you found something obvious enough that we would figure it out from you telling us about it, you probably wouldn't need us to point out that was the problem :p

well i thank you guys for all your help. I found that my old aem intake filter was the problem,,,sounds like cracked pieces of rubber got the throttle stuck. I dont think that was good for the engine at all, but no noticeable problems on the engine. one crazy ,,but simple solution
