Ya no need to take the e-brake cable off just make sure the e-brake is not engaged. It's easy but some of the bolts may be difficult and ackward to remove.

yeah, there is a sweet impact screw driver you can buy from autozone or any autoparts place probably. Its a giant screw head and a spring loaded handle you hit with a hammer to get those screws off without stripping them.

You can do that or just drill those screws out. Get a bit slightly smaller then the head of the screw and start drilling. When the part of the screw head that extents past the bit breaks off and rides up the drill bit stop drilling. You can replace the screws if you wan't but you don't need them.
