So I bought a set of Moog Inner tie rods from rockauto and when I went to install them today they would not fit into the steering rack. There is a bolt that holds the steering rack in place in the way so it does not allow the tie rod to be inserted into the rack. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way around this or do I need to get different tie rods? I added some pics so you guys can see what I'm talking about. The part number is EV800241.

I ordered Moog inner tie rods from rock auto. And for some reason they sent two different ones. Apparently I got one from a civic which seemed to work and the other the boot is hitting the rack and it’s not flush. Also I’m having a little play when I push and pull the inner tie rod inward and out word from where it’s screwed into the rack. I’m going to just end up replacing them with a different brand. The one on the right is the one giving me the issues. The one on the left seemed to be fine.

I had the exact same problem except I didn't get two different parts. I ordered it from rockauto too. Luckly they refunded me with the exception of shipping. That being said I'm not sure if retailers are aware that the one on the right will not fit an RSX or Moog is sending them the incorrect part. I tried emailing Moog themselves and they refuse to email me back. I had to go with Beck Arnley. So far they're holding up real good. I installed this July.

I believe they aren’t aware to be honest. I would of returned them but the thing is I opened one (the left) so I didn’t bother opening the other box (the right) and this was like in January so the return date passed a long time ago. It’s fine I guess. Yeah I was thinking going Beck/Arnley. Did you get those from rock auto as well? I think I’m going to order them today and change them.

Hmmm try sending them an email. Maybe they can give u some credit just let them know you just got to installing them and they sent you the wrong parts. I did that with napa for a condenser and luckily they gave me store credit when it had past the refund date. Also for the rockauto ones I had opened them and installed them. So what I did was clean them up real good and just said "parts look used. Wrong parts sent" and they refunded me. After reading a lot of bad reviews from rock auto about there refund policy I just ordered from Amazon after that.
